Technology and Water in Recovery Therapy: A Success at the Forte Village Congress

Forte Village hosted the Technology and Water in Recovery Therapy congress, an event that delved into the importance of water as a key element in sports recovery and post-trauma rehabilitation. Water, with its ability to reduce joint and muscle strain, allows for safe movement, improves circulation, and facilitates recovery, offering an ideal environment for functional rehabilitation.

The event, promoted by Stefano Maldifassi, founder of HPM, and Dr. Angelo Cerina, gynecologist and medical director of Forte Village Resort, placed special focus on thalassotherapy, a practice in which Forte Village is a global leader thanks to its unique therapeutic approach. During the conference, discussions centered on how water and technology can be combined to accelerate and optimize rehabilitation processes, accurately measure athletes’ progress, and facilitate return to play, meaning the optimal restoration of motor skills for a safe return to physical activity.

Among the speakers who contributed to the discussion, in addition to Ing. Maldifassi and Dr. Angelo Cerina, were Prof. Alberto Concu, professor at the University of Cagliari; Prof. Stefano Angioni, professor and director of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic at AOU Cagliari; Dr. Giacomo Zanon, specialist in orthopedics and traumatology; Dr. Roberto Morosi, physiotherapist and osteopath; Dr. Alessandro Boi, specialist in sports medicine and director of the Performance Center at Forte Village; former professional footballer Riccardo Montolivo, and the Italian figure skating pair Sara Conti and Niccolò Macii, both HPM athletes.

The Technology and Water in Recovery Therapy congress is part of a cycle of conferences that will be held periodically, aimed at providing updates and implementing new techniques, always supporting athletes and enthusiasts for a safe and functional return to physical activity.
